Sara Dutton is a certificated level 2 teacher in Precious Metal Clay. Sara teaches Precious Metal Clay courses in her workshop in Motcombe, Nr. Shaftesbury, North Dorset. Sara has recently written a book called Metal Clay Magic published by New Holland.The new workshop is more rural than the previous one in Bath, but it's great having the inspiration of thecountryside and the parking free!

What is Pmc?

Precious Metal Clay or Silver Clay is a non-toxic organic binder mixed with 99.9% Fine Silver or Gold particles.When the Silver Clay has dried and fired either with torch or kiln, the binder burns away it leaves Fine Silver or Gold.Precious Metal Clay ( Silver Clay ) is an amazing medium to work with, Metal Clay may be carved, molded and fingerprinted. Silver Clay may be incorporated with Cubic Zirconias, Glass, Resin, and Enamel just to name afew possibilities.

Precious Metal Clay ( Silver Clay ) comes in three different formats.Silver Clay lump form fantastic for adding texture to the surface and for forming shapes.Silver Clay paste,brilliant for painting organic materials such as leaves.Silver Clay syringe great for decorating lump clay and for joining lump clay pieces together and Silver Clay sheet which can be used to form origami shapes.

Pmcworkshops new workshop:

Pmcworkshops lovely new home is dedicated to teaching Precious \Metal Clay courses in a relaxed and friendly enviroment.

There are structed Silver Clay courses on offer as well as Silver Clay Flexi tutor days,where you can book your teaching day and then purchase the Silver Clay materials needed for the day.Great if you would like to learn something such as rings,keum-boo and there are no structured classes to suit.

There are also an open session available.Theses are not tution days in Silver Clay, but friendly advice is on hand if needed and you can use the tools and equuipment in the workshop.

These non tutorial days are £15.00 per day session 10.30am - 3.00 pm or evening session £10.00, 6.00pm - 9.00pm.These open sessions run twice a month on a Thursday.Please call 07989 300 526  to find out which Thursdays and to book a place.
